A week today and we will be getting to play,
At The Colne Food and Drink Festival.
In Colne town centre, the festival’s bright,
With stalls and smiles from dawn till night.
On July 27th, make your way, To Pendle Plant Craft’s stall, join the array.
Come to our stall, where wonders abound,
Handcrafted delights from the earth and ground.
From foods that nourish to drinks that refresh,
Health, skin, and hair products, the best from our quest.
At noon, join Pete for a foraging walk,
Discover wild plants, and hear him talk,
Of nature’s bounty right at our feet,
With uses and benefits, oh so sweet.
Pendle Plant Craft, our community’s heart,
Brings treasures of nature, each a unique part.
Born from the woods, where wild things grow,
We gather and craft, sharing what we know.
Last year was splendid, this year’s a delight,
Let’s gather together, from morning to night.
Help us raise funds, essential and true,
For Pendle Plant Craft, with the help of you.
Indulge in the goodies we’ve crafted with care,
Or lend a hand, show how much you care.
Set up, decorate, or just enjoy the day,
With live cooking, foods, and teas on display.
Ideas are welcome, hold space, perform,
In the festival buzz, let’s break from the norm.
With every smile and every cheer,
We’ll make this festival the highlight of the year.
The Colne Food and Drink Festival will feature 50 artisan market stalls, a street food arena, chef demonstrations, live music, and more. Pendle Plant Craft’s stall will showcase community-made items, and Pete’s foraging walk will be a special highlight, sharing knowledge with folk that would like to attend, about the local flora and its uses and benefits.
