Where Support Becomes Sustenance
and the Wild Finds Its Way to You.

At Pendle Plant Craft, we’ve gathered something rare over the years.
A place where people come to cook, craft, forage, learn, and deepen their relationship with the living world around them.
Much of what happens here is shared freely. Using abundant plants, donated ingredients, and whatever someone has brought along to contribute, we end up with full bellies, warm brews, and often a few wild creations to take home and explore in everyday life.
As much as possible, we keep it this way. This project has always been built on sharing rather than scale, and on people rather than money.
Ways people contribute
There are many ways to contribute, and none of them are measured or ranked. The most important contribution is simply showing up.
- Coming along and being part of the day
- Bringing your energy, curiosity, humour, care, and presence
- Helping with conservation, cooking, crafting, or tidying up
- Sharing ingredients, tools, knowledge, or time
- Leaving a donation when you’re able
- Buying something we’ve crafted, to help keep the cabin and project going
Financial contributions help with ingredients, materials, equipment, and the practical costs of keeping things running, but they’re only one part of a much bigger picture. Everything goes straight back into Pendle Plant Craft.

🌼 Salves, Balms & Skin Care
Herbal balms, lip salves, infused oils and simple plant-based skin supports.
Moon Balm for Tired Skin

This little balm came about in a very Pendle Plant Craft way. Through tired skin, short nights, cold air, and listening closely to what felt genuinely supportive rather than what promised quick fixes.
Moon Balm for Tired Skin is a gentle, restorative night balm made with beeswax, nourishing plant oils, and two wild allies we return to again and again: Meadowsweet and St John’s Wort.
It’s not a cosmetic “anti-ageing” product. It’s something softer than that. A balm for skin that’s been working hard. For faces, hands, shoulders, temples, the delicate area around the eyes. When life has left its mark.
We’ve been using it ourselves as part of an evening wind-down, and people enjoy it for things like:
soothing tired or stressed skin
softening dryness and fine lines caused by fatigue
calming puffiness linked to long days or broken sleep
easing tension held in the jaw, temples, neck and shoulders
comforting hands and skin that show signs of overwork
supporting a sense of rest and repair before sleep
Meadowsweet is traditionally loved for its gentle calming and toning qualities, often used where skin feels irritated or inflamed.
St John’s Wort has a long history of use for soothing the nervous system and supporting skin recovery. Especially where stress has been quietly stored.
A light beeswax base helps protect the skin overnight, while the plant oils nourish without feeling heavy. A little goes a long way.
This is a balm that works best when used slowly, with care. Not to “fix” anything, but simply to offer support where it’s needed.
These are generously sized tubes, and a little goes a very long way. Used correctly, one tube will last a very long time, often several years.
Plantain, Yarrow & Woundwort Salve
A Hedgerow Miracle in a Jar

A Hedgerow Miracle in a Jar
Description
This is one of those remedies that quietly earns its place in every pocket, rucksack, glovebox, and kitchen drawer.
Our Plantain, Yarrow and Woundwort Salve brings together three of the most respected wound herbs in traditional European herbalism. Slowly infused and blended with local beeswax, it creates a deeply nourishing, protective balm for skin that needs support.
Over the years, this has become something of a Pendle Plant Craft essential. It is often the first thing people reach for in the warmer months, especially those of us who live a little closer to the brambles.
Many in our community have found it incredibly supportive for:
Dermatitis
Psoriasis
Eczema
Rashes and dry patches
Nettle stings and insect bites
Minor cuts, scrapes and small wounds
We cannot claim miracles.
But we have witnessed some.
This is one of the preparations we make that consistently brings people back for another tin.
Plantain (Plantago spp.)
A classic “drawing” herb, traditionally used to soothe irritation, calm inflammation and support the skin’s natural repair process.
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Long associated with battlefield first aid, yarrow has been valued for its ability to support wound healing and help maintain clean skin.
Woundwort (Stachys sylvatica / related spp.)
True to its name, woundwort has been used for centuries to assist the closing and repair of damaged skin.
Combined with beeswax, which forms a breathable protective barrier, this salve both shields and supports.

Protective Barrier
Beeswax helps seal in moisture while protecting from environmental stressors.

Nettle & Comfrey Salve
A Deep Green Balm for Bones, Joints & Weary Muscles

If the Plantain salve is the quick responder in the hedgerow, this one is the slow, steady restorer.
Our Nettle and Comfrey Salve has, over the years, become one of the most quietly powerful preparations we make. It is the one people come back for when joints feel stiff, muscles feel heavy, and the body needs deeper support.
Slowly infused and blended with beeswax, this balm carries the strengthening, mineral-rich qualities of nettle and the restorative reputation of comfrey into a warming, nourishing salve for everyday aches and strain.
We cannot promise miracles.
But we have heard stories that feel close to them.
Many in our community have found this salve supportive for:
Stiff, aching joints
Rheumatic discomfort
Arthritic-type pain
Muscular strain and overuse
Post-activity soreness
Areas recovering after physical stress
It has become a staple for gardeners, walkers, craftspeople, cyclists, swimmers, and those who live hands-on lives.
Nettle (Urtica dioica)
Often known as a nutritive powerhouse, nettle is rich in minerals traditionally associated with supporting muscles, connective tissue and overall resilience. In topical use, it has long been valued for warming and stimulating circulation.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)
Historically known as “knitbone,” comfrey has been used externally for centuries to support tissue repair and recovery. Its reputation in herbal tradition is one of restoration and structural support.
Together, these herbs create a balm that feels grounding, strengthening and deeply soothing.
Benefits
Joint & Muscle Comfort
Traditionally used to support areas of stiffness, strain and discomfort.
Warming & Circulatory Support
Encourages a sense of warmth and ease in tired muscles.
Nourishing & Protective
Beeswax seals in moisture while creating a breathable protective barrier.
A Companion for Active Lives
Ideal for those who bend, lift, dig, climb, build, craft, walk hills and live fully in their bodies.
Directions for Use
Massage a small amount into the affected area.
Apply to clean skin and work in slowly, allowing the warmth of your hands to help absorption.
Use as needed.
Caution
For external use only.
Do not apply to broken skin.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
If pregnant, nursing or under medical supervision, consult a healthcare professional before use.

Yellow Archangel Lip Balm
A Wildflower Balm for Weathered Lips

Made from the bright, soft abundance of Yellow Archangel growing freely around the edges of woodland and hedgerow, this balm is gentle, nourishing and quietly protective.
What many see as an overlooked or invasive plant, we see as generous. Yellow Archangel offers itself abundantly, and we work with it respectfully, harvesting lightly and crafting slowly.
Blended with beeswax and plant oils, this lip balm has become a daily companion for many in our community.
It’s simple. It’s wild. And it works beautifully.
Yellow Archangel (Lamiastrum galeobdolon) Traditionally associated with soothing and softening properties, and part of the wider dead-nettle family known for its gentle, skin-friendly nature.
It creates a balm that feels:
Deeply moisturising
