Pendle Hill Summit, Midsummer 2025
Let’s take a breath together.
Feel the hill beneath you —
the bones of Pendle, old as story,
holding us like a steady hand.
With each breath, settle a little more deeply.
Let your spine lengthen.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your awareness soften —
until you can feel the hush between the sounds.
This is no ordinary place.
We stand on a crossing point —
where powerful ley lines meet,
where stories, seasons, and souls have gathered
for thousands of years.
Beneath our feet, energy flows like unseen rivers —
connecting this hill to ancient sites across these islands.
And here we are —
part of the same web.
Take a moment now to feel that.
That you are not separate.
You are not alone.
You are part of the land’s remembering.
Pause.
Think of all that’s grown since the dark days of winter —
not just in the soil, but in you.
The seeds you’ve tended.
The courage you’ve called on.
The connections you’ve deepened — with nature, with others,
with this beautiful, becoming community we call Pendle Plant Craft.
This is the height of the light —
and we honour it by being here,
barefoot or booted, windswept and real,
open-hearted and alive.
Look around you —
not just at the view,
but at the faces beside you.
Each one carrying their own light,
their own path, their own magic.
Let us honour that too.
Let us honour the plants —
the ones that feed us, heal us, teach us.
The ones we’ve walked with, brewed into teas,
carried in our baskets and stories.
Let this be a moment of offering —
a quiet promise to keep walking gently,
to give back more than we take,
to grow wild in the best of ways.
Pause.
As the sun begins its slow descent,
feel its warmth on your face.
Let it be a blessing.
May we carry this light into the coming days —
not just the light of the sun,
but the light we’ve kindled together —
in community, in courage, in care.
And when the darker seasons come again,
as they always do,
may we remember this moment.
This place.
This connection.
May we be like the plants —
rooted, reaching, and always returning
to the source of life.
